What are Ultrasonic Sensors?
We are Ultrasonic Sensors Suppliers, Distributors & Importers in Mumbai, India. An ultrasonic sensor is a device that detects objects or measures the distance by
using high-frequency sound waves. These give off a pulse of sound waves that
move through the air, and once this hits an object, it finds its way back to the
sensor. The sensor determines the distance of an object based on the time it
took for the return sound. The sensors have many use cases, from obstacle
detection for robots to distance measurement in industrial process control
systems or proximity sensing on consumer electronics. They are a budget
favorite, they can be used for many conditions, and the basic one we have been
looking at here is robust in design, however, results may vary depending upon
other factors such as temperature or surface of the object.
Product Description:
The UA18CAD series are cylindrical M18 ultrasonic sensors for diffuse, analog, and
digital output applications. These sensors provide accurate distance measurements, ideal
for applications like level measurement, diameter measurement, or loop control. A family
of diffuse ultrasonic sensors with a sensing range from 50-400 mm, 100-900 mm, and
200-2200 with a resolution as low as 1.0 mm. Both an analog and a digital output are
enclosed in the sensor. The output is either 0-10V or 4-20 mA, and the digital output is
NPN, PNP, NO, or NC, which forms a window detection. Therefore it is the best choice for
distance measurement, level measurement, diameter measurement, or loop control. With
Microprocessor control, digital filtering has made the sensor immune to most of
Electromagnetic Interferences.

Importance of the Ultrasonic Sensor
The ultrasonic sensorsof Carlo Gavazzi measures distances with important precision and
reliability. It has been designed to guarantee accurate detection even in critical
applications, applications where traditional sensors may fail due to dust, light, or
color variations. This makes it fit for industrial applications related to level
measurement, distance measurement, and loop control. Microprocessor control and digital
filtering ensure immunity to electromagnetic interference for increased reliability of
operation.
