The UA18CAD series are cylindrical M18 ultrasonic sensors for diffuse, analog, and digital output applications. These sensors provide accurate distance measurements, ideal for applications like level measurement, diameter measurement, or loop control. A family of diffuse ultrasonic sensors with a sensing range from 50-400 mm, 100-900 mm, and 200-2200 with a resolution as low as 1.0 mm. Both an analog and a digital output are enclosed in the sensor. The output is either 0-10V or 4-20 mA, and the digital output is NPN, PNP, NO, or NC, which forms a window detection. Therefore it is the best choice for distance measurement, level measurement, diameter measurement, or loop control. With Microprocessor control, digital filtering has made the sensor immune to most of Electromagnetic Interferences.

Installation and Setup

Mount the sensor in the application area. Set sensing points by adjusting positions and pressing the teach button to save the desired distances. The sensor comes pre-configured for Normally Open (NO) digital output and positive slope analogue output. Configurations can be changed by holding the teach button for 8 to 12 seconds.
